Song Moon-hong

Deputy Editor/Reporter of Shin Dong-A, a monthly journal published by the Dong-A Ilbo, he holds a B.A. in Politics from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. He has been covering the inter-Korean relations and national security since 1990. His recent articles include "After the 'Perry Report': Are the U.S., Japan and China Hastening Their Pace Toward Pyongyang?" "The Aftermath of the West Sea Conflict,"and "Package Deal: On the Difference between the DJ version and the U.S. Version."

 

Park Young-ho

A research fellow at the Korea Institute for National Unification, and adjunct fellow at the Hudson Institute, he holds a B.A. in Politics from HUFS, and a Ph.D in Comparative Politics from the University of Cincinnati. He is the author of the Paradigm of International Politics and Regional Order, South Korean Unification Diplomatic Strategy toward the U.S., and wrote "Political Change in North Korea: Is There Any Possibility for System Transformation?"among others.

 

SON Chu-Whan

Adjunct professor at the Graduate School of North Korea Studies, Kyungnam University, he is a former Minister of Information, the president of the Korea Foundation, the President-publisher of the Seoul Shinmun, and the member of the 13th National Assembly. He holds a B.A. in Law from Korea University, an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Kyungnam University. He is the author of Journalism and Unionization: A Comparative Study of the Korean and Foreign Press, and wrote "A Study of North Korean Refugees: Problems and Policy Considerations,"among others.

 

Yoon Taeyoung

A Research Fellow at the Institute of East and West Studies, Yonsei University, he holds an M.A. from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, and a Ph.D. in International Politics from Manchester Metropolitan University. His major works include "South Korea's Crisis Management towards North Korea within the Context of the South Korea-U.S. Alliance, 1968-1983,"and "Crisis Management System within the Context of the ROK-U.S. Combined Security System: Practice and Developmental Direction."

 

Choi Ju-whal

A former North Korean senior colonel, he defected to South Korea in 1995. He graduated Pyongyang University of Foreign Studies, then entered the North Korean Army. He worked for the external affairs bureau of the People's Army and Yung-seung Trading Company, under the umbrella of the People's Armed Forces. Currently, he is a research fellow at the Institute for Unification Policy, and the director general of the Association of the North Korean Defectors.

 

Jeon June-mo

Jeon June-mo is a researcher at the Korea National Center for APEC Studies in the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy. He holds an M.A. in General Economics and Public Finance from Sogang University, and has written "The Status and Performance of Korean Outward Investment,"and "The Economic Status of APEC Economies and their Relations with Korea."
